This extremely rare hand-painted child Jesus in the manger, made by Fontanini, comes in two separate pieces. His simple white shift has a blue and gold lining, and he lays on a bed of hay with hands outstretched. The base of each piece is marked with the Fontanini logo and "Depose Italy," while the Jesus figure also has an artist signature and copyright of 1989. The figures are both damage-free and have a plastic feel. The child measures 9.5" long x 6.75" wide at the hands x 3" deep. The manger piece itself measures 12.5" long x 5" tall x 9.5" wide, while the manger with child is 7" tall and tilts forward. A photo of the holy family (Mary, Joseph, and Jesus) has been added for reference only.
See Lots 2-10 for several figures in this spectacular 27" scale Nativity series made by the House of Fontanini, Italy, a Tuscan family business since 1908. All figures in these lots were treated with a brown wash and are matte rather than glossy. Skillfully hand painted in wonderful detail, figures are made of a marble-based resin, the larger figures having a hollow plaster-type feel and the smaller having a more resilient plastic touch. In this series each figure has a prominent Fontanini logo, copyright date, and often an artist name, and larger figures stand on sturdy 1.25" tall bases.

Late removals should not be expected. A $25 trip charge per item will be charged to schedule late removals.

Every auction item is sold “as is, where is” with no guarantees or warranties. You are responsible for inspecting items prior to purchase.
Bidders are responsible for knowing and complying with auction terms. Failure to comply with removal terms may result in bidding privileges being disabled. Once a bid is placed it cannot be retracted.
Sellers and their agents are prohibited from bidding on their own assets.
Items with a reserve will not be sold unless the reserve price has been met.
At the close of the auction, active items will remain open until no bids have been received for three minutes.
Applicable sales tax will be collected by the affiliate managing the auction.
In the event that bidding rights are terminated due to no-show invoices, bidders MAY be reinstated at the discretion of K-BID only after a penalty fee of 20% of the unpaid invoice(s) and a reinstatement fee of $25.00 has been paid to K-BID and a scanned copy of your driver's license emailed to us. INVOICED ITEMS WILL NOT BE AWARDED. The payment is punitive and meant to deter no-shows. Duplicate bidder accounts will be deactivated when they are determined to exist. If possible and at our discretion, K-BID reserves the right to delete any bid we believe has been placed by a suspect bidder. Any registration that shows up on our fraud detection system may be placed on hold and bids removed until the user is verified. K-BID Online, Inc reserves the right to disallow anybody from bidding on its website. Cases of obvious bidding with no intent to redeem will be referred to appropriate legal authorities.
Affiliates may lower a lot reserve at any time before or after an auction closes. If the reserve is lowered while the auction is in progress, the applicable reserve message will appear below the Next Required Bid information (Reserve Not Met or Reserve Has Been Met); the asset will sell to the high bidder if the lowered reserve amount is met. If the reserve is lowered after the auction closes, the highest bidder at auction close will receive a winning bidder invoice.
Once an auction begins its closing process, outbid notifications will not be sent.
Once a bid is placed it cannot be retracted.
Shipping will be available for smaller items at the cost of shipping in addition to our processing fees. Our processing fee structure is as follows:
AFTER you have paid for your items on K-Bid, a separate invoice for the cost of shipping will be emailed to you.
We can not ship your items until you have paid your K-Bid invoice.
Smaller lots may be able to be bundled together- Inquire beforehand.
Shipping fees cannot be calculated in advance as the items have to be packaged and the package weighed and measured before shipping fees can be calculated.
Once the items have been sent to the shipping department and have been packaged for mail and you have been sent an invoice, picking up your item will no longer be an option as time and money will have been spent to package up your item/s. Thank you.
