Wade Whimsies from the UK Developed by Sir George Wade in the 1950's they became popular and collectable.
Manufactured by Wade Ceramics, Ltd. founded in 1867 in Burslem, England
The whimsies are a small solid porcelain figurine that were sold in shops and since 1967 have been offered inside boxes of Red Rose Teas.
Presented here are two POLAR BEARS from the Red Rose Teas.
The bear facing left is from series #15 Endangered Species; it is in fine condition without flaws or chips. Date issued 1998 - 2022. Marked Wade England. This is approx. 1" x 1 1/2" L.
The bear facing ahead is from the American series #2. Date issued 1983 - 1994. Marked Wade England; It is approx. 1 X 2 L
