It’s always pleasing when a company stays true to its roots, and as Larson celebrates its centennial, it does so with a new launch rollout that embraces both the old and new. The Larson All American 23 has a satisfying mix of new technology and materials mixed with classic lines that create a sportboat that is as both pleasing to the eye and utilitarian. The latter point is important -- not only does she look cool -- but she can also do towing work.Mission Statement
The Larson All American 23 is designed as a celebration of Larson’s 100th anniversary making boats. She successfully combines the newest technology with a mix of old school charm. When going through her features it’s hard not to be convinced that one should be dressed in period clothes that reflect the mood of the moment. But where she departs from other boats from two or three brands in this genre, is that she has been designed with higher freeboard in order to actually be used for towing sports and not just to simply look cool in advertisements.
Four important things hit us in this bird's eye view of the Larson All American 23: 1) We like the cream and dark tan two-tone upholstery colors because they look so classy; 2) The standard extended swim platform reaches beyond the lower unit when it is down, 3) There is a flip-up centerline armrest on the aft bench seat; 4) The optional port and starboard seat inserts in the bow can be removed so both sides can handle forward sitting while underway, not just forward lounging.
Distinguishing Features
Swooping Sheer Line. This gives the 23 an distinctive look that we haven’t seen in years, if not decades, in sportboats. It harks back to the 1960s, if not before.
