NOTE: VIEW ALL PICTURES. This antique secretary desk started out much larger and grander then depicted in the first photo - see Photo 2. Sadly, the veneer was significantly bubbled and damaged, so the secretary was in the process of having damaged veneer removed and had been disassembled to accomplish this. Much of the damaged veneer has been removed with only a few areas remaining. Photo 2 and the final photo were taken pre-disassembly and are provided here for an overview only. THESE 2 PHOTOS DO NOT REPRESENT THE PIECE BEING SOLD AT AUCTION. THE BOOKS ARE NOT INCLUDED AS PART OF THIS SALE. The secretary has a book/curio shelf with radial glass (intact). There are 3 adjustable wood shelves inside. Inside the drop down secretary door is a divider with a small drawer. Below is a curved front drawer and a spacious cabinet door. The highly decorative top portion has a shelf and 1" beveled mirror. The mirror back is stamped Aug 1907. The hardware and wood appliques have been saved and will be included. These are shown in photos. The final picture shows the placement of the scrollwork & appliques when disassembled. A stunning piece for sure when re-freshed!
