6 Antique handcrafted wooden chairs with intricate needle point floral design. Each chair's upholstery was uniquely crafted by Mrs. Charles Spence after she was bedridden as a way to occupy her time. These chairs are in as nice condition as they may have been in the 1920s. These chairs would go very well with the table listed in LOT 102.
Interesting note: In 1915 Charles L. Spence received a patent for what he called "The Manifolding Book," the first carbon paper based invention that made the family one of the most prominent and wealthy in St. Joseph County, Sturgis, Michigan . Mrs Spence was well known for her needle craft and these chairs were acquired from the Spence estate.
The pick up dates for items won in this auction are Wednesday, July 11th and Thursday, July 12th, 2018 between 8 am and 7 pm. IF YOU CANNOT PICK UP ON THOSE DAYS, DURING THOSE TIMES, PLEASE DO NOT BID. WE DO NOT OFFER ALTERNATE PICK UP DAYS OR TIMES FOR ANY REASON.
