Panasonic model RA-6700. Good FM reception and surprisingly good AM reception inside our steel-skinned building. The tuning meter works well.  PHONO and AUX inputs both amplified a test-tone generator signal. This receiver has both magnetic and ceramic inputs for the PHONO section. The cassette section has microphone inputs on the front panel, and was tested by a customer on inspection day and functions well.

Kenwood model KT-5300. Seems to work well. When coupled with Kenwood Amplifier in Lot 7 it puled in stations on both AM and FM, even in our steel-skinned auction showroom. Smooth action on the tuning dial, and the tuning meter aided in reception.

Fisher model 122. So-so tuner performance, which might be the building. AUX and PHONO inputs all passed a test-tone signal, but with noise. All the potentiometers on this receiver need a good cleaning. Maybe a Christmas vacation project.

Marantz model MR235. Missing the silver knob covers for power and FM muting controls, this is purely a cosmetic issue, both controls are still functional. Superb FM reception but spotty AM reception. PHONO inputs produce a very clean signal, but the AUX inputs seem noisy to my ear. All said, the FM reception alone make this receiver special.

Hitachi model SR-904. Excellent radio reception on BOTH AM and FM. Nice wide tuner dial. Both AUX and PHONO input amplified the test-tone generator signal perfectly. This receiver has a MIDRANGE control in addition to the usual BASS and TREBLE control. The shaft of the BASS control is slightly bent, but this does not effect function at all. All three controls worked well to tailor the sound, even with the cheap speakers we used to test it.
