This is a set of three WWII items.
----- The first item is a belt of 75 of WWII era .50 caliber cartridges.
All of these cartridges are INERT and SAFE. They were all fired at
ground targets from U.S. fighters and bombers whose crew were preparing
for combat, and were retrieved from an old WWII firing/bombing range in
the desert. These .50 caliber Browning machine gun cartridges,
projectiles and links are a genuine piece of World War II history. They
were all gathered from the desert floor, cleaned up and reassembled as a
display. All cartridges are head stamped with the year of manufacture,
and the location of the arsenal from which it was made. An individual
cartridge with link is valued at $8 each, with a belt value of $600.
----- The second item is an original WWII metal .50 cal Ammo can. This
can has its original paint and markings from the manufacturer. This ammo
can is valued at $30.
----- The third item is an original WWII Ammo shipping crate. This crate
is stamped with its Twin Cities logo, year and month of manufacture,
August of 1945. The crate is 15" wide, 13" deep and 10 ½" tall and it
has two metal handles. The top lid missing, the wood is in very good
condition. The Wooden Ammo Crate value alone is $60.
