2005 Ford F-450 6.0L Turbo Diesel V8 with Johnson Refrigerated Reefer Truck Body. This Johnson Medium Temp Refrigerated Box is great, as you just plug it into 220V shore power, let the box cool down over night to 20 degrees, and you can drive all day with zero worries about it staying cold in back. The box has a Copelametic Compressor Plate Refrigeration System. In the top of the refrigerated box there are large metal boxes filled with a gel that freezes to keep the box cold all day. Because of this, it is very efficient, reliable, and can even be used as a walk-in freezer/refrigerator. Our client claims he used to keep it on for weeks at a time when he ran the business and barely noticed a dent in the electric bill. New, this truck was $70,000! Our client bought it in Pella, Iowa about four years ago from the original owner who delivered deli meats and cheeses. Because this is a medium temp truck it will stay at about 20 degrees. You can set it lower, but where it is set now it'll keep your product in the mid 20's throughout the day. If you have a frozen solid product that was frozen in another freezer, this would work for keeping it solid as our client used to deliver frozen pet food with this truck and never had an issue. The shore power connection is a NEMA L6-20 connector, 250V/20A. The vast majority of the miles are highway miles from the previous owner, who used it in Iowa until 443,000, when our client purchased it. Our client is selling this truck, as he sold his frozen pet food business, and the truck is no longer needed. It was used routinely up until June 2018. Features and Notes:
The truck was routinely used up until June of 2018, when our client sold his business. Since then, our client has started the truck up every week or so, but it hasn't really been driven. The truck started right up, but you should get a tune up and overall checkup. The refrigeration unit will need new fluid, as it doesn't currently cool down since it has been sitting for a number of months. The client will be installing two new batteries before the auction pickup. We noticed that the power locks and power windows don't work (appears to have been fixed back in 2015 according to service records which indicate a broken ground wire that was jumpered, but they don't currently work). Dome light in cab doesn't seem to be working. ABS light on.
