This Lucky Lindy perfume gallon jug was produced in the late 1920's, around 1928-1929 to commemorate Charles Lindbergh's Spirit of St. Louis solo flight across the Atlantic Ocean in 1927. The jug is approximately 12 inches high x 6.5 inches in diameter at the base of the jug. The perfume comes from the Nipola Company of St. Paul, MN, which was part of a large nationwide illegal liquor distribution operation during prohibition.
The lot contains the gallon jug and remaining perfume, original box, along with a photocopy of a Minnesota History magazine article (quarterly magazine of the Minnesota Historical Society), photocopies of two St. Paul newspaper articles (St. Paul Dispatch and Minneapolis Tribune) from February, 1930 about the massive illegal operation and a dictation of another article from the The Capital Times (Official newspaper of Wisconsin).
The Minnesota History magazine article tells the story of the perfume we donated to the Minnesota History Center. It details how it was discovered, a little history of the perfume and the Nipola Company along with images of the donated items.

Failure to comply with auction terms, including removal requirements, may result in suspension of bidding privileges.

Sales Tax

Shipping is available for most items. Items are shipped exclusively by Unbelievable Finds. We do not accommodate customer arranged shipping nor delivery of items by Unbelievable Finds. Contact us for shipping information and price quotes.
There is an $8 total handling charge plus the cost of postage and insurance (if applicable). Please contact us with any questions.
We package items securely and all shipped items will include a tracking number. Shipments over 1 pound will be insured and insurance is available for lower weights upon request. Unbelievable Finds is not responsible for lost or stolen items. All sales are final. Returns are not accepted.
