Elk River, MN
We anticipate a very busy removal. We will do our best to return messages in a timely manner. If you need to contact us a text message to (612) 888-7913 will be the fastest way.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Do you ship?
Yes, we can ship almost anything. For this auction we have a special $15/flat rate offer for anywhere SpeeDee Delivery Ships in the Midwest. For items outside SpeeDee's area we utilize FedEx Ground. We also ship other items on the auction in a cost-effective manner, when possible.
IF YOU ARE ONLY SHIPPING BOOTS, DO THIS:
Step #1 - Double-check that the address on your invoice is the correct address you want shipped to.
Step #2 - Send us a text message containing your bidder number to (612) 888-7913 ASAP to let us know you intend to ship. We will update your invoice with the appropriate shipping amounts and text you back informing you that your invoice has been adjusted and ready for payment.
Step #3 - Pay for your item(s) online on your K-BID.com Dashboard.
Step #4 - Your items will be shipped within 4 business days
Do you give a discount if we ship multiple pairs?
Yes. If you buy 3 or more pairs we knock the shipping cost to $10/pair, when all are shipped to the same address.
Where did these boots come from?
Shoe Menders Boot Repair store has been an icon in the Elk River Area for over 40 years. These items are all from their store which has recently closed.
What if I can't be there during the removal?
We offer very affordable shipping for this very reason.
Can I try these on before I bid on them?
Yes. We are hosting an on-site inspection on Thursday, August 22 from 10-6 for this very reason.
Can I put in a Max Bid and let the computer bid on my behalf?
We strongly suggest you place a max bid on the items you wish to buy. The system will automatically bid on your behalf anytime someone bids against you until your max bid amount has been exhausted. With 100's of boots to watch, you don't want to let a great deal go to someone else! Place that max bid amount and make sure you are in the running for these great deals!
Why don't all of the items close at the same time?
That would be insane. That's why. By slowing the rate that the items close we can ensure everyone has a chance to bid on the items they want. This auction is closing at a rate of 5 lots per minute.
What is a "soft close" mean at online auctions?
A "soft close" is a way to emulate the bidding action you see at a live auction, but in an online format. Whenever a bid takes place on an item in the last 3 minutes before that item is set to close, that clock is reset to 3 minutes. This gives other bidders a chance to get back in the action. This continues until there are no bids placed in a 3 minute period and the item then closes.
Where can I pay for my items after the auction?
There are two simple ways to pay for your items. The preferred method is in person when you pick-up the item. If you wish, you may also pay online on your dashboard at K-BID.com. Find the "Pay with Square" icon by your invoice and follow the prompts to complete your transaction. If you are shipping, please follow the steps outlined on the "Shipping" tab at the bottom of each page.
What forms of payment do you take?
Payment Methods Accepted: Cash, Credit/Debit Card, Check (Payable to "Fanberg Auctions"...ID Required), Cashier's Check, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Wire Transfer (Please Call).
Is there sales tax on shoes in Minnesota?
No! Shoes are one of the very few items our government grants us permission to complete transactions of without giving them a cut. Stick it to the government today and go place a few more bids!
Is there a free gift for paying my invoice over $750 with cash or check at the removal?
You're darn tootin' there is.
What if I am outside the SpeeDee Delivery Service Area?
We utilize FedEx Ground for packages outside SpeeDee's Delivery Area.
What does the letter mean after the shoe size?
Shoe Width In order of narrowest to widest, the nine shoe widths available in the U.S. are: AAA, AA, A, B, C, D, E, EE, EEE. As such, only the A and E sizes are further divided into sub-sizes. At the narrow end (A), additional letters indicate a narrower width, whereas at the wider end (E), the more letters equals a wider width.
D Width - A D-width is considered a medium for men and a wide for women. It measures between 3 and 5 inches across the bottom of the ball of the foot, depending on your shoe size. For instance, in men's footwear, a size 10D is 4 inches across, while a size 14D is 4.5 inches across.
E Width - An E width shoe is considered a wide for men and extra wide for women. Measuring at the bottom of the ball of the foot, an E width stretches between 3.2 and 5.2 inches, depending on foot size. For men, a size 10E is 4.2 inches across, while a size 14E is 4.7 inches across.
EE Width - EE width shoes are considered extra wide for men and women. Not all manufacturers carry EE widths, and women's EE choices, historically, have been limited. EE width shoes measure between 3.4 and 5.4 inches across the bottom of the ball of the foot, depending on shoe size.

You Need to Know These 3 Quick Things Before You Bid:
1. Can you make it to the removal or having your items shipped?
Removal Times:
Fri, Aug 23, 2019 09:00 am - 06:00 pm
Sat, Aug 24, 2019 09:00 am - 01:00 pm
2. We make it easy and take most forms of payment. We accept Cash, Checks (Business and Personal are fine, Certified Funds Required for all invoices over $5,000.00), Certified Checks, Visa, MasterCard, AmEx, Discover, Google Pay and Apple Pay. Brownies and Cookies are acceptable for tips, but we no longer accept them as legal tender for auction items ever since the "Incident of March 2018".
3. Make sure to look at all of the photos and descriptions before you bid. We are human, we make mistakes, but we promise we are not trying to hide any flaws in an item. BUT, It's your responsibility to check things out before you bid. This is why an inspection period is available to you prior to the close of the auction.
Other legal mumbojumbo....FYI: MN Sales Tax will be Collected. (You may provide a Minnesota ST-3 Tax Exempt form when applicable.)
