In very good condition with high relief on both sides. The 1853 United States "braided hair" one cent features the matron-like figural head of a Liberty facing left with braided hair, wearing a headband showing the word, "Liberty". 13 stars encircle the main design with the date, 1853 below. The reverse shows the words, "One Cent" inside a wreath with the inner circle reading, "United States of America"
27mm in diameter. Copper and minted in Philadelphia. Mintage of approximately 6,641,131.

Compliance & Enforcement
Failure to comply with auction terms, including removal requirements, may result in suspension of bidding privileges.
If bidding privileges are suspended due to unpaid invoices:
Duplicate accounts will be deactivated. Suspected fraudulent activity may result in bid removal, account holds, or permanent suspension. K-BID reserves the right to refuse service to any user and may refer fraudulent behavior to appropriate authorities.
Seller Conduct
Sellers and their agents are strictly prohibited from bidding on their own items.
Sales Tax
Applicable sales tax will be collected by the independent auction company managing the auction.
We ship small items and some larger ones, charging postage and a flat handling fee of $5 (one lot or multiple for same fee). Contact us with questions. We always try to ship most economically.
Most items in this sale will probably ship USPS Priority Mail; some could even go first class.
Shipping can be invoiced through Square for a safe and reliable transaction. You can also call us with your credit card information to pay for shipping. Or a separate invoice through Square can be sent for shipping. Your online payment through the K-Bid website does NOT cover shipping, and we have no access to that payment information.
