The Spreader motor is sealed to prevent water and large particulates from messing with it. The hopper is made of rust-proof polyethylene to last you for the long haul. It even comes with a heavy-duty rain cover to keep it out of the rain, sleet and snow. After all, it's a Spreader, not the Post Office.
