Lot Description:

Absolutely stunning benches. They are over 7 ft long. They are originally from the Chicago Athletic Association. These benches are just so cool and unique. They are in impeccable condition. Leather is pristine!

There are two, a pair.

Antique billiard benches are a type of seating furniture that was commonly used in billiard rooms during the 19th and early 20th centuries. These benches were designed to provide a comfortable and practical seating solution for players and spectators in billiard rooms.

Antique billiard benches are typically made from high-quality hardwoods such as mahogany, oak, or walnut. They feature sturdy frames and legs, often with ornate carving and detailing that reflects the craftsmanship and elegance of the era. The seats are typically upholstered in high-quality leather or fabric, which adds to their comfort and durability.

One unique feature of antique billiard benches is their design, which often incorporates storage compartments beneath the seats. These compartments were used to store cues, balls, and other billiard accessories, providing a convenient and organized storage solution for players and spectators alike.

Antique billiard benches are highly sought-after by collectors and enthusiasts of vintage billiard equipment and furnishings. They are prized for their historical significance, as well as their craftsmanship, durability, and unique design features. As such, antique billiard benches can command high prices at auction and are highly valued by those who appreciate the rich history and craftsmanship of billiards.
