This auction is for the discerning bibliophile with a taste for history, classics, sociology, and pop culture. The collection of a modern-day Renaissance gentleman that includes 60 shelves of books (sold by the shelf) so you can read the titles and get a great deal while adding to your library. There are also 6 large bookshelves and storage cases to hold your collectibles, and high quality gently used furniture that will accentuate your environment.
Our Consignor's home goods style reflects his personality. He is a cultivated individual who enjoys the finer things in life, but he is also practical and down-to-earth; he is a cool dude. His home furnishings reflect a comfortable and inviting space where one can relax and entertain guests. A voracious reader, obviously. He has a wide range of interests and is always learning new things. Our Consignor has downsized to Arizona and leaves some of his fun in Minnesota. Enjoy!
Important notes about the removal of your winnings:
Large item removals may require special appointments and are designated in their lot listing as such. A necessary appointment will fall on one of the two days available for removal--this requirement is for logistical reasons.
Other items are also designated for removal on a specific day (day one: Monday, August 28, or day two: Tuesday, August 29) for logistical necessity. Pay attention to your lot listing, which will detail the removal-day requirement if applicable.
Shelf-of-Books buyers must schedule their removals on day one: Monday, August 28, before the bookshelves are removed, so your lot is not disturbed or displaced. All lots with this requirement are posted with this in the description.
Book removals on the main floor built-in bookcase may require the winner's use of a step ladder (available at the site) to remove books from their purchased shelf. Winners of shelves of books that are high up must be able to climb the step ladder and remove books safely. Bring appropriate help and book carriers as needed.
Pick-up scheduling or shipping
Winning bidders will receive an email and text message Friday morning with a link to their pick-up scheduler or shipping instructions. For lots listed above, you must use the link in that email to schedule your pickup on the appropriate date. (We do not use the K-Bid scheduler.)
See the Shipping tab for instructions about shipping eligible items.
