Gail W. Bamber reflects the ambience of small town America of years past with her series of prints, cut-outs, and color xerox pieces that were on exhibit at 5th Ave. Gallery. The show, called "Signs of the Times", affords a wistful view of past refinement, now faded, as Bamber combs small towns of the Midwest for images. She finds her images in the electric signs jutting out from old buildings which proclaim with, straight-forward bravura, the classy status that their establishments once stood for: hotels, restaurants, bars and cafes-· standard bearers for bygone elegance. Bamber uses color xerox on handmade paper to give an element of the present to these memorials of time past. Color xerox-present technology-gives a modern quality to the pieces, while the images themselves speak of remembrance and passing time. The images have an aging took, The colors are faded, or have a muffled intensity that is the glow of favorable memories. The tattered edges of the handmade paper upon which these images are ingrained, have the frayed look of time past of old lace, of the bright rouge on the pallid face of an old lady, of brittle pages in a scrap book-the attempt of time-recovery is hinted at here.
Bamber's signs declaring what was once
up-to-date and stylish now have the pathos of
nostalgic postcards. And yet, each image
evolved from photographs of actual signs and
buildings that exist. Physically, the signs remain. The message they convey has changed.

Inspection & Removal

Removal day is not an inspection day.
Once an auction closes and an invoice is issued, the winning bidder is obligated to complete the purchase.

Compliance & Enforcement
Failure to comply with auction terms, including removal requirements, may result in suspension of bidding privileges.
If bidding privileges are suspended due to unpaid invoices:
Duplicate accounts will be deactivated. Suspected fraudulent activity may result in bid removal, account holds, or permanent suspension. K-BID reserves the right to refuse service to any user and may refer fraudulent behavior to appropriate authorities.
Seller Conduct
Sellers and their agents are strictly prohibited from bidding on their own items.
Sales Tax
Applicable sales tax will be collected by the independent auction company managing the auction.

Buyer pays all shipping charges plus a $10.00 handling fee for each package shipped.
Most shipping is processed through either Spee-Dee (by weight) or United States Postal Service.
Shipping Terms: Action Auction DOES IN-HOUSE SHIPPING. Items purchased that require shipping will be processed after payment has been received.
Once items have been paid for they will be sent to the shipping department to be processed and packaged.
When packaging is complete, you will receive a shipping invoice via email and text.
After the shipping invoice has been sent out you have 7 days to submit payment, if payment is not made within those 7 days the items will be forfeited.

Items of Size: Depending on the items of size, weight, etc, It will be the buyer's responsibility to acquire a third-party shipper or enlist specialty shipping.
SHIPPING: Bidders are responsible for paying shipping of all items purchased, we will take care of getting them processed to ship once payment has been received.
Once the buyer wins an item(s), at auction end an invoice will be processed through K-Bid and is viewable in your dashboard/invoices.
On-Line invoice payments are processed through K-Bid...any additonal shipping fees etc. are not part of that invoice.
Addtional shipping invoices/charges/fees paid with a charge card through Action Auction will be charged an additional standard 3% fee on the total.
