Lot Description:

Ultra-clean and highly desirable early pressing of Johnny Cash with the Tennessee Two – His Top Hits on Sun Records (EP-114). Includes the original green sleeve and an exceptionally preserved outer jacket. Both sides of the 7” record feature etched deadwax markings: "45-EP-38" and "45-EP-39", along with the highly collectible "Sheldon" script etching—indicating this is an original pressing from the Sheldon pressing plant used by Sun Records in the 1950s.

This particular copy stands out for its:

  • Sharp labels

  • Near-mint vinyl surface

  • Clean outer sleeve with minimal discoloration

  • Verified Sheldon deadwax markings

This is the best example of this release we've handled—a standout collector-grade copy of one of Johnny Cash’s most sought-after early EPs.

Condition: Very clean copy with minimal signs of wear; vinyl and outer sleeve are both exceptional. Minor tape pull on the back side top. See photos for additional details.

Auction Estimate: $1,000–$1,500

Fine Jewelry Guarantee

All fine jewelry lots are guaranteed to match the descriptions and material specifications provided. Please read the following details carefully:

All items described as platinum, gold (10k–18k, yellow or white), Platlite, or sterling silver are guaranteed to be solid metal — never filled or plated.

Any item described as a diamond is guaranteed to be a genuine, natural diamond unless otherwise stated. If a lab-grown diamond is present, it will be clearly noted in the description.

Gemstones — including rubies, sapphires, emeralds, alexandrite, tanzanite, amethyst, citrine, topaz, morganite, and others — may be natural, lab-created, color-enhanced, glass-filled, crystallized, or laser-treated. Natural stones will be labeled as such. Carat weights are approximate and typically fall within a 10% range of stated size due to mounting constraints.

Any appraisal, auction estimate, or stated retail value reflects the opinion of the evaluator based on comparable new jewelry in the current market. These values are provided for reference only and should not be the sole basis for purchase or resale. Karats by Auction House is not responsible for any errors, omissions, or changes in value.

When a ring is listed as resizable, it generally means a qualified jeweler can adjust the size up or down by one full size. If more than one size of adjustment is needed, please call or text 952-237-4888 to confirm whether the specific ring can be resized beyond that range.
