Completing the federal background check (NICS) and paperwork can take a while; please be prepared.
Bidder profile must match your legal name (photo ID required at pickup).
When paying by credit card, the cardholder name must match your driver’s license.
For any handgun or rifle with a pistol grip, you must present either
a valid Minnesota Permit to Purchase or
a Minnesota Permit to Carry (concealed‑carry permit).
NICS check is mandatory for every firearm transfer—even if you hold a carry or purchase permit.
First firearm: $25 NICS/transfer fee
Each additional firearm in the same auction: $10
The $25 fee only applies to background checks that we make at our location.
Federal law requires us to ship firearms to a Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL) in your home state. You will complete ATF Form 4473 and a NICS check—and pay any transfer fee—when you pick up the firearm from that FFL.
Certain firearms (pistols and semiautomatic military‑style assault weapons) require a background check that can be satisfied by either permit.
How to obtain a Minnesota Permit to Purchase
Complete the Minnesota Uniform Firearm Application – Permit to Purchase/Transfer.
Submit it to your local police chief or county sheriff.
The agency has up to 30 days to run the background check and issue the one‑year permit.
A valid Permit to Carry doubles as a Permit to Purchase.
If you later sell or gift a pistol or semiautomatic military‑style assault weapon in a private transaction, the buyer must:
hold a Permit to Purchase or
complete a background check through a licensed dealer.
Both parties must keep the Private Party Transfer Form on file for 10 years. Transfers between immediate family members are largely exempt.
Minnesota Stat. § 624.712 subd. 8 defines these firearms. The Bureau of Criminal Apprehension maintains the official list. Possession or purchase requires a Permit to Purchase (or Permit to Carry).

Auction Terms Addendum
This auction is contracted and managed by an independent auctioneer. By placing a bid, you agree to both the auction-specific terms listed on this page and the K-BID User Terms and Agreements.
Platform Role
K-BID Online, Inc. (“K-BID”) operates and maintains K-BID.com as a venue for independent auction companies to conduct online auctions.
They are independent entities and are not employees, agents, or representatives of K-BID. K-BID’s knowledge of individual auctions is limited to the information provided on the website.
Bidder Responsibilities
By placing a bid, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and agree to comply with all applicable terms.
Inspection & Removal
Inspection dates and times are provided for every auction. Bidders are strongly encouraged to inspect items prior to bidding.
Removal day is not an inspection day.
Once an auction closes and an invoice is issued, the winning bidder is obligated to complete the purchase.
Item Condition
All items are sold “as is, where is,” with no guarantees or warranties. Buyers are responsible for their own due diligence.
Buyer’s Premium
If applicable, Buyer’s Premium caps are applied per item, not per invoice.
Auction Process
Compliance & Enforcement
Failure to comply with auction terms, including removal requirements, may result in suspension of bidding privileges.
If bidding privileges are suspended due to unpaid invoices:
Duplicate accounts will be deactivated. Suspected fraudulent activity may result in bid removal, account holds, or permanent suspension. K-BID reserves the right to refuse service to any user and may refer fraudulent behavior to appropriate authorities.
Seller Conduct
Sellers and their agents are strictly prohibited from bidding on their own items.
Sales Tax
Applicable sales tax will be collected by the independent auction company managing the auction.
Read every lot: Some firearms require a Minnesota Permit to Purchase or Permit to Carry. The high bidder must complete the NICS background check personally so the firearm can be transferred into their name at either our location or the FFL dealer you will have the firearm shipped to.
Service Fee NICS / transfer (first gun) $25 NICS / transfer (each additional gun in same auction is $10)
There is also a $25 packaging and handling fee per gun + actual UPS / USPS freight charges to your chosen FFL
Actual freight cost plus packaging and handling fee of $10 each lot. (each additional lot) $5 P&H fee.
Carrier UPS ground (haz‑mat rules) — no USPS delivery
You must provide an address that can accept UPS shipments.
Pay your K‑BID auction invoice online as soon as it is available.
In checkout, click “Request Shipping” on each shippable invoice and we’ll email a Square shipping invoice to the address on your account.
Charges include handling, packing materials, actual carrier cost and required insurance on orders over $100.
Pay the Square shipping invoice online, you will receive a link via email.
Once the shipping invoice has been paid, we will have your packages picked up for delivery - tracking will auto‑email once your package is on its way.
Shipping availability and rates may change without notice.
