Complete set of vintage Robeson "Flame-Edge" steak knives. The edges have a tungsten-carbide coating that has a self-sharpening action. These knives are highly regarded for their performance and edge-holding ability. In fact, Robeson was so sure this that they initially guaranteed that the knives would not need sharpened for at least three years. The knives have seen only very light use and remain in excellent condition! Theyve been well cared for. The blades have not been sharpened and remain full. The tungsten-carbide coating remains completely intact on both knives with very little wear. The deeply mirrored blade finish is free of any grind marks or sharpening abrasions and remains very nice on both as well. The serrated edges offer a clean, efficient cutting action. They are free of any nicks, dings, chips, or damage and remain sharp with all knives ready for immediate use. The blade markings remain bold and strong with great contrast against the finish. The needle-sharp tips are intact and original with no blunting, burrs, or bending. The finger-grooved hardwood handles remain tightly secured and free of any chips, dents, gouges, or cracks. They show absolutely none of the dishwasher fade/bleaching that's so common to these knives. They also also show none of the associated gapping and the wood remains tight to the tang over the entire length on both handles. Each knife measures 8-3/4" in overall length. An outstanding pair of these classic steak knives from this fine Robeson line!!
