Before Bidding

 

Please read all Terms and Shipping information prior to placing bids. By bidding, you agree to all terms listed below.

 

Payment

  • All items must be paid for by the end of the scheduled removal period.

  • Accepted On-Site payment methods:

    • Cash

    • Credit Card (MasterCard, Visa)

    • Checks payable to Kandiyohi Auction Center

  • Fees:

    • $50 Returned Check Fee

    • $20 NSF Credit Card Fee

 

Item Pickup & Removal

  • We are not a storage facility. Items must be picked up during the scheduled removal time.

  • Any item(s) not picked up on the scheduled day will be considered abandoned unless arrangements are made within 24 hours of auction close.

  • Late removal appointments may require an additional fee up to $20, payable before items are released.

  • If no contact is made and you arrive after the removal period (including for shipping requests), a late pickup fee up to $100 may apply.

  • Items paid for but not picked up on removal day will be considered abandoned unless prior arrangements were made with Kyle or Becky.

 

Buyer Responsibility During Removal

  • Buyers are responsible for:

    • Bringing adequate help for lifting, carrying, and loading

    • Bringing proper tools, boxes, straps, and securing materials

    • Bringing a vehicle large enough to safely transport purchased items

  •  

    • We do not provide tools.

  • KAC staff will assist in locating items but will not load items into vehicles.

  • If staff must lift, move, or load items for you, a $20 per‑lot handling fee will be charged and must be paid before items leave the facility.

  • All removal is done at the buyer’s risk.

  • KAC is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items not picked up during designated removal times.

 

Shipping

  • Please review the Shipping Tab before bidding.

  • Always check whether an item is marked shippable.

  • We do not ship:

    • Framed pictures

    • Ammunition

    • Primers or powder

    • Liquids

  • Large items may require oversized packaging.

  • Buyer is responsible for:

    • $8 handling fee per lot

    • Actual shipping cost

  • Multiple lots or coin purchases may qualify for reduced handling fees.

  • Firearm shipping is handled exclusively through Code 4 in Spicer, MN. Buyer information will be provided as needed.

 

Inspection & Item Descriptions

  • Buyers are responsible for inspecting items before bidding.

  • We encourage attending the scheduled inspection day. If you cannot attend, call us to arrange an alternate time.

  • We do our best to ensure descriptions and photos are accurate; however, photos and descriptions are not guaranteed.

  • Buyers are responsible for testing electrical items. When possible, we test items and note results in the description.

  • If you have questions or notice errors, please contact us.

 

Refunds & Returns

  • All items are sold “AS IS, WHERE IS” with no warranties or guarantees.

  • Once items leave the auction site, no refunds or returns will be accepted.

  • KAC is not responsible for missing or damaged items after removal.

  • No refunds will be issued for abandoned lots.

 

Liability Release

By participating in this auction, you release Kandiyohi Auction Center from any liability for injury or damage occurring on the premises.

Auction Terms Addendum

This auction is contracted and managed by an independent affiliate. By placing a bid, you agree to both the auction-specific terms listed on this page and the K-BID User Terms and Agreements.

Platform Role
K-BID Online, Inc. (“K-BID”) operates and maintains K-BID.com as a venue for independent auction companies (“Affiliates”) to conduct online auctions.
Affiliates are independent entities and are not employees, agents, or representatives of K-BID. K-BID’s knowledge of individual auctions is limited to the information provided on the website.

Bidder Responsibilities
By placing a bid, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and agree to comply with all applicable terms.

  • Bidders are responsible for all activity under their account.
  • Account information and passwords must not be shared.
  • All bids are binding and may not be retracted.

Inspection & Removal
Inspection dates and times are provided for every auction. Bidders are strongly encouraged to inspect items prior to bidding.
Removal day is not an inspection day.
Once an auction closes and an invoice is issued, the winning bidder is obligated to complete the purchase.

Item Condition
All items are sold “as is, where is,” with no guarantees or warranties. Buyers are responsible for their own due diligence.

Buyer’s Premium
If applicable, Buyer’s Premium caps are applied per item, not per invoice.

Auction Process

  • Items with a reserve will not sell unless the reserve price is met.
  • Affiliates may lower reserves at any time:
    • During the auction: updated reserve status will be displayed.
    • After closing: the highest bidder may be awarded the item if the reserve is lowered.
  • At closing, items with active bidding will remain open until no bids are received for three (3) minutes.
  • Outbid notifications are not sent once an item enters the closing process.

Compliance & Enforcement
Failure to comply with auction terms, including removal requirements, may result in suspension of bidding privileges.

If bidding privileges are suspended due to unpaid invoices:

  • Reinstatement is at K-BID’s discretion
  • Requires payment of:
    • 20% penalty on unpaid invoice(s)
    • $25 reinstatement fee
  • A valid government-issued ID must be provided
  • Unpaid items will not be awarded

Duplicate accounts will be deactivated. Suspected fraudulent activity may result in bid removal, account holds, or permanent suspension. K-BID reserves the right to refuse service to any user and may refer fraudulent behavior to appropriate authorities.

Seller Conduct
Sellers and their agents are strictly prohibited from bidding on their own items.

Sales Tax
Applicable sales tax will be collected by the affiliate managing the auction.

Kandiyohi Auction Center – Shipping Information

Shipping & Relocation Requests

  • All shipping or relocation requests must be made by the end of the scheduled removal period by calling (320) 382‑4022.

  • If we have not heard from you by the end of removal, an additional $5 inconvenience fee may be added to your shipping/handling total.

  • Shipping Request Hours:

    • Removal Days: Typically 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Saturdays 10:00am-2:00pm)

    • If there is no answer, leave a voicemail so we know you attempted to contact us. We will return your call as soon as we are able.

 

Payment for Shipping

  • It is the buyer’s responsibility to contact us via phone or email with payment information for shipping.

  • Shipping will not be processed until invoice is paid and/or we have your card information..

 

Abandoned Items

  • Items that are paid for but not picked up, and do not have a shipping or relocation request by the end of the scheduled removal, will be considered abandoned and become property of Kandiyohi Auction Center.

  • Storage or inconvenience fees may apply.

 

Shipping Details & Insurance

  • Standard shipments include $100 of insurance coverage (coins and currency exempt).(Additional insurance can be purchased by bidder upon request)

  • Packages are shipped using the lowest‑cost carrier unless the bidder requests otherwise.

  • Tracking numbers can be provided upon request.

  • Once items are delivered to our general shipping center, KAC is not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen packages.

  • If a package is lost, stolen, or damaged, we can assist by providing information, but the buyer is responsible for filing the claim with the carrier.

 

Address Accuracy

  • Please ensure your contact and shipping information is up to date on your K‑BID account.

  • If a package is returned due to an incomplete or incorrect address, the buyer is responsible for:

    • The cost to re‑ship the package

    • An additional handling fee to correct the issue

  • We do our best to verify addresses, but accurate information on your K-Bid Profile is the buyer’s responsibility.

 

Failure to Pick Up or Request Shipping

  • If you do not pick up your items on removal day and we do not receive a shipping or relocation request, you will forfeit your items, even if your invoice is paid

Invoices can be paid online or at Facility(we accept, cash, check, Mastercard or Visa)  ($50 charge on all returned checks, $20 on CC purchases that return as NSF)

 

All shipping payments must be called in with shipping request

Additional Auction Information and Removal Information

Appointment Scheduling

Due to a software upgrade, bidders are now prompted to schedule an appointment time for item removal. Appointments are suggested but not required — we remain fully available during all posted removal hours. (Off-Site Auctions DO need to schedule appointments)

  • As with all K‑BID.com auctions, buyers are responsible for inspecting all items prior to bidding.

  • Buyers are responsible for testing electrical items. We test items when possible and include results in the description.
