Auction Terms Addendum
This auction is contracted and managed by an independent affiliate. By placing a bid, you agree to both the auction-specific terms listed on this page and the K-BID User Terms and Agreements.
Platform Role
K-BID Online, Inc. (“K-BID”) operates and maintains K-BID.com as a venue for independent auction companies (“Affiliates”) to conduct online auctions.
Affiliates are independent entities and are not employees, agents, or representatives of K-BID. K-BID’s knowledge of individual auctions is limited to the information provided on the website.
Bidder Responsibilities
By placing a bid, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and agree to comply with all applicable terms.
Inspection & Removal
Inspection dates and times are provided for every auction. Bidders are strongly encouraged to inspect items prior to bidding.
Removal day is not an inspection day.
Once an auction closes and an invoice is issued, the winning bidder is obligated to complete the purchase.
Item Condition
All items are sold “as is, where is,” with no guarantees or warranties. Buyers are responsible for their own due diligence.
Buyer’s Premium
If applicable, Buyer’s Premium caps are applied per item, not per invoice.
Auction Process
Compliance & Enforcement
Failure to comply with auction terms, including removal requirements, may result in suspension of bidding privileges.
If bidding privileges are suspended due to unpaid invoices:
Duplicate accounts will be deactivated. Suspected fraudulent activity may result in bid removal, account holds, or permanent suspension. K-BID reserves the right to refuse service to any user and may refer fraudulent behavior to appropriate authorities.
Seller Conduct
Sellers and their agents are strictly prohibited from bidding on their own items.
Sales Tax
Applicable sales tax will be collected by the affiliate managing the auction.
Shipping Available
Shipping is available on all items in this auction to addresses within the continental United States. International shipping is not available at this time.
Shipping Cost
Shipping cost is calculated at a flat $10 base fee plus $1 per pound, with item weight rounded up to the next whole pound. For example, an 8 lb item would ship for $18 ($10 + $8), and three 5 lb items would ship for $25 ($10 + $15). An item weighing 7.2 lbs would be billed as 8 lbs, shipping for $18 ($10 + $8).
Shipping Process If you require shipping, please note that shipping charges are not included in your K-BID invoice.
Items will not be shipped until payment for both the item(s) and shipping/handling has been received in full. Once full payment is received, please allow 2 business days for your item(s) to be processed and shipped. Payment can be made by phone with a debit/credit card, or via PayPal invoice.
Shipping Timeframe Items are typically shipped within 2-4 business days after both invoices have been paid. Shipping is fulfilled via FedEx Ground, with an estimated transit time of 1–5 business days after your item ships. Tracking information will be provided when available.
Whenever possible, multiple items won within the same auction will be combined into one shipment to help reduce shipping costs.
Please ensure your shipping address on file is current and accurate. First Stop Surplus is not responsible for delays, lost packages, or damage occurring after items have been transferred to the shipping carrier.
Payment is accepted via cash or electronic payment (Square terminal onsite for card payments). Electronic pre-payment is preferred.
Payment for items picked up in person is due at the time of pickup. For items being shipped, item payment is due by the end of the scheduled removal day, the same as in-person pickups. A separate invoice for shipping and handling will follow once your item is ready to ship, and payment for that invoice is due before shipment.
Applicable sales tax will be added to your invoice.
Pickup appointment times are selected within the scheduled removal window after the auction closes. Please arrive during your selected time slot.
Please bring a valid photo ID and be prepared to provide your bidder number at pickup.
Upon arrival, follow signage to the pickup location at the shipping container on the east side of the building.
Some items are packaged in large boxes. Please come prepared with adequate vehicle space, and bring help if you anticipate needing it. I'll be available to assist with loading if needed, though loading assistance is offered as a courtesy — buyers are responsible for safely lifting, handling, and transporting their own purchases.
If the scheduled removal window doesn't work for you, reach out and I'll do my best to accommodate an alternate pickup time on a case-by-case basis.
