This is a truly remarkable example of this classic roadster! The reserve is set way below the NADA value and is ready for you to own it. Only 6,011 ever produced.
This pristine 1975 450SL has only 50,500 original miles. It's 100% original and authentic! Always garaged and covered. The interior looks amazing! Beautiful, eye-catching red that really stands out against the classy silver exterior. The black soft top is in perfect condition as it is a new "old" factory original replacement that was purchased and installed within the past two years. The silver hard top is original and in excellent condition (see photos). The deluxe Mercedes original chrome wheels are a standout on new Michelin tires. It also has the original Becker Europa II AM/FM cassette stereo. The original manual and maintenance records are in the glove compartment.
The quality of this automobile is unquestionable; a true head turner! NADA puts the value on this automobile at $27,100. The Historic Automobile Group index (HAG) reports that this vehicle has appreciated around 39% over the past 3 years and trending indicates it will continue to appreciate.
There is mechanically nothing wrong with this vehicle: it has been well maintained. The radio is not currently working. The rewiring to get it operational should be minimal. The fabric in the back is slightly loose. The owner decided to leave it as is to keep everything 100% original. The new owner can decide to either tack it back up or just leave it as is (see last photos). There are some smaller scratches on the left-front (see photos). Owner was advised to leave it as-is again - to keep everything original.
There is a squeak in the belt which should be easily remedied (see engine video).
