Sell on K-BID

Selling your assets has never been easier—or more effective—than with K-BID. Based in Medina, MN, K-BID began as a live auction company in the late 1990s and has since evolved into one of the largest online auction platforms in the Upper Midwest. With 200+ independent affiliate auctioneers and thousands of auctions each year, we’ve built a trusted network to help sellers get results quickly.

Our affiliate auctioneers work directly with sellers to manage every step of the process. Once your auction is live, it’s listed on K-BID.com for public bidding. Winning bidders pay and pick up items at the designated location—some affiliates also offer shipping options for added convenience.

  • 1. Why sell at auction? Auctions are ideal for anyone with a large number of items or a tight deadline. They create urgency, generate excitement, and flip the traditional sales model by encouraging buyers to raise their offers—not haggle down. Our job is to bring as many serious bidders to your auction as possible.

  • 2. What types of auctions does K-BID offer? From businesses and estates to municipalities and banks, our affiliate network handles it all. If you’ve got assets to sell, there’s a good chance we’ve got the right audience for them.

  • 3. What will my items sell for? True auctions let the market determine value. Some items may exceed expectations, while others may go for less. To get a feel for what similar assets have brought in the past, check out our Closed Auctions page.

  • 4. Can I bid on my own items? No. For transparency and bidder trust, neither sellers nor affiliates are allowed to bid on their own items. K-BID maintains a strict no-shill policy to keep bidding fair and credible.

  • 5. What if I have a minimum price in mind? Reserves can be used to protect your bottom line, but we encourage using them sparingly. Many bidders avoid auctions with reserves, and it could reduce competition across the board. Your affiliate can help you determine if a reserve is the right choice for your situation.

  • 6. What can I sell on K-BID? Just about anything with market demand. We see excellent results with vehicles, equipment, tools, commercial assets, and high-quality household goods. Your affiliate will help assess whether your inventory is a good fit.

  • 7. How long does the process take? Most auctions run online for 7–14 days, with setup usually taking up to a week beforehand. In general, the whole process—from initial meeting to getting paid—takes around 30 days. Larger projects may require more time.

  • 8. How much does it cost? Sellers are typically charged a commission or flat fee that’s deducted from final sale proceeds. Costs vary depending on the size, value, location, and logistics involved. A free consultation with an affiliate will outline all the details.

  • 9. Do I need to move my items? Not necessarily. One of the best things about online auctions is their flexibility. You can choose to sell directly from your home, warehouse, or business—or have the items moved to an affiliate’s facility.
