A pair of Georgian style mahogany corner cabinets have curved glass doors. The exterior finish is in excellent condition on this American made vintage furniture.

The maker's signature is lost. Embossed brass hardware is original, shelves have grooves to display plates if desired.

Measurements are 38" wide tip to tip at the crown, 71" tall, and the side measurement is 27" from the corner of the room to the front tip of the crown.

CAVEATS

  • The previous owner decided to lighten things up a bit in the display area behind the curved glass and applied a layer of latex matte paint to the cabinets' interior. This can be removed, but not easily.
  • The glass on one door (second unit pictured, left door) is broken, but somehow still holding together. You will very likely be dealing with broken glass when moving this one.
  • The contents of the shelves are for display only and are NOT INCLUDED IN THIS LOT.

Please bring additional help and any dollies/tools needed to move these with you. They are your responsibility and we will not be able to help you remove them or load them into your vehicle/trailer.

This Scova Dixie desk is a prime example of Danish Modern design! Modeled after a similar desk by Danish designer Jens Quistgaard, this American interpretation is well crafted, practical, and beautiful in its simplicity. It features three drawers with recessed handles along the front, as well as both horizontal and vertical storage areas in the back. These compartments are actually part of a hinged shelf that folds down to transition to a larger work surface or even a dining table.

Please note: originally, the desk most likely included two drawers that would fit into the horizontal storage areas, however they are no longer with this piece.

This Danish table features folding sides and legs, making it an ideal seating option for your next family gathering. (And it looks a thousand times nice than a card table, right?!) Attractive fern and leaf imprints add an earthy, botanical touch.

Auction Details:

The owners of this estate had and have very good taste in all of their many endeavors.

There is so much furniture to go through and the overwhelming majority of it is fine furniture with carved wood covered in beautiful finishes and complemented with very tasteful fabrics.

If Bed, Bath, and Beyond grew up and took some interior design courses, the result might be something like this house. Every kitchen gadget you could ever want is in here. You want textiles? We run the gamut, from stately and simple to more adventurous.

There's a ton of computers, monitors, all in one pc's, all in one Mac's, a Mac Mini, and just about every peripheral you could want. Quite a few printers.

Owners were heavy photographers, so there's lots of studio gear and camera and lens accoutrements to be found. Quite a bit of tripods and lighting.

Highlights include a Samick Baby Grand in fantastic shape as well as a breathtaking oil painting. It's just a still life of flowers, but it's SO GOOD.

All furniture or anything that requires more than 1 person to lift must be hauled out by the bidder.
